Saying NONO to simple labels
The idea behind the NONO Beer labels was to create a mascot that felt playful, approachable, and perfectly matched the energy of the seller’s environment. We wanted a design that would stand out in the crowd while fitting right in with the fun of a ballpark setting.
For the typography, the bold sans serif reinforces the round, rubber-hose aesthetic of the mascot—giving it that animated, vintage appeal—while the cursive type used for the flavor name adds a touch of classic beer branding. Together, they balance nostalgia with personality, helping NONO Beer feel both familiar and refreshingly different.

Mascots can sell sobriety.
Branding a baseball lovers message to the diamond.
NONO Beer is a company created to make it feel more socially acceptable to skip the alcohol while still enjoying a baseball game with friends. The client’s goal was to ease the quiet pressure that often comes from being the only one not drinking. The concept centered on designing a beer brand that looked and felt just like the others—something that could blend in seamlessly while still standing for something different.
Much of the inspiration came from the Portland Pickles, as the plan was for the brand to debut at their games. With a new identity came a need for practical, on-site solutions, so we focused on creating easily recognizable cans and a simple tent setup that made serving and selling at games quick, efficient, and inviting.
