Culture told through frame.
Updating the brand from the past to something more present.
Oregon Experience, which began airing in 2006, is an Oregon Public Broadcasting documentary series that tells the stories shaping the state’s identity. Through powerful visuals and grounded storytelling, it highlights the people, landscapes, and moments that define Oregon’s history and spirit.
This project puts a literal frame on Oregon’s culture a postage stamp that symbolizes stories worth sending, sharing, and preserving. The stamp becomes a visual anchor across the campaign, representing how Oregon Experience connects personal memory with collective history. Each frame captures not just an image, but a piece of what makes Oregon, Oregon.

Focusing on whats in view.
The design pulls from the internal name “OR EX,” what the team calls Oregon Experience. The stamp frame became the center of the whole idea. It’s a way to guide focus, to pull attention to what really matters in a photo or a piece of footage. It’s simple but it has weight. The stamp itself goes back to when people used to send stories out into the world—small pieces of community and memory passed from one place to another.
That history is what makes it work. Using the stamp as a visual tool ties the show back to its roots: framing Oregon’s culture and sending it out for others to see. It’s more than a logo; it’s a way to share stories. The frame can live anywhere, even as a social sticker, letting people use it themselves and carry the idea forward—each person framing their own piece of Oregon and adding to the story.
